What Music Means to Me

Music means everything to me because I love singing. Singing makes me feel wonderful and lets me let out my feelings. I feel at peace when I sing, singing is my come to when I am feeling down. I can sing until I let everything out and sometimes the lyrics explain what I am feeling.  I listen to mainly pop, alternative, r & b, and some Spanish music. Not only does music make me feel better but it can also put me in a good mood. When there is a happy song, I cannot help but dance and want to get up and just jump around. Everyone loves music because it is entertaining and cool, but to me I can say that it goes much deeper than that. Music inspires me to go out and do impossible things. It makes me want to become better and want to make my own. I want to improve my voice and maybe one day I will have my own song that I can jam out to.

Problems and Struggles

Some of the struggles that some kids face in Bell High School is dealing with their sexuality. Many kids are afraid to be themselves and tell the world how they truly feel. They feel like they will not be accepted by society and be hated for being different and for liking things they “shouldn’t.” This make is difficult for them mentally and usually they face it alone. Having to deal with issues like this alone, leads to many issues such as, depression, anxiety, suicidal thoughts, etc. Not only is that the only issue, but also many people deal with sexual abuse. It has come to my attention that many people have had to deal with that. This not only surprised me, but it shocked me. Many people deal with many issues like this but we do not know because they keep it hidden. We do not truly know what they are feeling because they wont speak about it or let anyone know. It is sad but in reality many people face issues everyday, but they are not being heard because they are afraid. Fear keeps people from speaking out.

The Most Interesting Person in the World!

One of the most interesting people that I know is Hussein Ghacham. I find him interesting because his personality is so outgoing. He speaks out his mind and is never afraid to speak the truth. He can be funny but at the same time really rude. The thing that has always made him interesting to me is that he hangs out with only Hispanics. All of his friends is Hispanics and he is oddly fond of them. Usually the Muslims in our school stick to the same people and do not go outside their comfort zone, but Hussein does. You always see him surrounded by Hispanics and is not afraid to be himself or be different. Hussein is very generous and has a very kind heart.  It takes a lot to get used to being around just one race, but Hussein makes it look so easy. He is one of the friendliest guys I know.
